Now this is food with perspective! Small portions but filling and packed with flavor. My husband brought me here for Valentine’s Day and all I can say is wow. The shrimp is a must have. Beef Nihari is perfectly umami. The ice cream sandwich made me feel like a kid again, but with elevated cocoa notes that completed the experience. Everything was delicious across the board and the servers were lovely.

Incredible experience at Passerine. We chose the tasting menu and it was beautiful, fun and most of all delicious. Half of us ordered the vegetarian tasting menu and half the traditional menu. Having sampled both I have to say the vegetarian slightly edged out the regular! The cocktails were a wonderful addition. All of the servers and staff were extremely knowledgeable and seemed genuinely happy to answer any questions or to explain a dish in more detail. I would absolutely recommend the tasting menu. We hope to return again

First time at Passerine and I was amazed the moment I walked in. The drawing room in the front is so welcoming and warm, it felt like home! The bar setup is stunning. The main dining area was very subtle and elegant. We tried all the cocktails (all of them are super good) but my favorite was the Forest wagtail! Service is excellent and on point. The food menu is decent and I tried a couple of items and I must say they all stood out and I would definitely dine in for the whole experience. Fav food : shrimp koliwada, Lamb cheela, Aloo dumplings, sea bass, beef Nihari & roasted cabbage. Every dish was unique and very flavorful. The desserts are delicious just couldn’t stop eating. These may not be the classic Indian dishes you would expect but trust me it’s innovative and feels like home cooked. Cannot wait to be back at Passerine.

We recently attended a private dining club event at Passerine. The restaurant was exceptionally elegant, featuring a dark velvet bar area and a sophisticated dining room. Our five-course dinner featured most of the menu’s offerings, with the exception of the chicken. This culinary experience was meticulously crafted, showcasing the Chef’s deep passion and dedication to gastronomy. The service was attentive, and my glass of water was consistently refilled. I can’t wait to return here again!

The ambience is very cosy and welcoming. The decor is very modern chic. Loved the vast variety of flavors infused into traditional Indian dishes, which elevated the dishes. The combination of different culinary combinations made for a spectacular dinner. The service was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, until the moment we left, I felt like a special guest. This is a must see if you are in NYC

We had an absolutely incredible experience at Passerine. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance—elegant and intimate, yet vibrant and full of energy. We did the tasting menu and were blown away. Every dish was thoughtful, beautifully presented, and bursting with bold, balanced flavors. Truly some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had—creative, refined, and deeply satisfying. Passerine is a gem. If you’re in NYC and want a dining experience that’s both memorable and genuinely special, don’t miss it.

This restaurant is PERFECT. The food is not only innovative but deliciously made. They have created flavors that are new to the palette while maintaining the Indian taste. Presentation is beautiful..staff is excellent with attention to detail and a kind demeanor. The ambIance is art deco meets lux. Soft music in the background, nothing loud, making you enjoy a conversation over your beautiful meal. We asked to meet the chef to compliment him and he came! This is the best Indian food in NYC.

Lovely restaurant! We got a tasting menu and really enjoyed it. 7 courses, each with a unique flavor. Beef short rib definitely stood out for me. You can also choose a la carte as an option. Great service.
